- What is Green Building?
- Green Building is all about the standards! Green building standards, such as the Florida Green Building Coalition, United States Green Building Council (LEED) or the National Association of Home Builders standards are all 3rd party inspected and certified. 3rd party certification is key so that the homebuyer knows they are getting what they paid for!
- Green Standards Overview
- The aforementioned green standards were developed by green building professionals and include a points system, in which builders and developers are required to meet certain points thresholds for each category. Categories include energy efficiency, but also water, lot choice, site, health (indoor air quality, etc), materials, disaster mitigation and a general points area.
